Schill to start Game 2 - Dice K moved Back...

Red Sox Set Pitching Rotation

Red Sox brain-trust (Terry Fancona & Theo Epstein) confer with ALCS Game 2 starter Curt Schilling during work outs at Fenway of Tuesday. Dice K will pitch Game 3 and Knuckle baller, Tim Wakefield will go in Game 4. Cy Young candidates - Josh Beckett and CC Sabathia will toss in the Opener at the Fens on Friday night.

Schilling is 9-2 with a 1.93 ERA in 16 career postseason starts, the highest winning percentage in history among pitchers with at least 10 decisions. He was MVP of the 1993 National League Championship Series with the Philadelphia Phillies and shared 2001 World Series MVP honors with Randy Johnson after going 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA in three starts for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Baseball also will never forget the heroism displayed by Schilling in the Red Sox’ championship run in 2004, when he went 3-1 with a 3.57 ERA in four starts, despite pitching with a detached tendon in his right ankle. That included six shutout innings in a Game 2 World Series victory over St. Louis at Fenway Park.
