One year ago - March 1, 2008 - the Thomas A. Yawkey League lost its best friend.
No man exemplified the ideals of our League better than Our Commissioner - Dan Tarpey. For many years Dan dedicated himself to promoting quality amateur baseball in the Junior Park and Yawkey League. He was a great husband, father and friend to so many across the area. Dan served as a teacher/coach at English High school. So many were touched by this kind and gentle man.
We will never forget you Dan! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family each and every day.
Our players and coaches continue to dedicate themselves to high standards that you set for us throughout the years.
May Dan Rest in Peace!
