Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka throws long toss in the outfield during Wednesday's practice at Fenway Park. He has been named Game 1 starting pitcher for the ALCS which starts Friday in Florida against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Boston Red Sox have set their pitching rotation for the Tampa Bay League Championship Series:
Daisuke Matsuzaka will start Game 1 of the
ALCS on Friday, with Josh Beckett going in Game 2, Jon Lester starting Game 3 and Tim Wakefield Game 4.

I would have liked to see Lester pitch earlier but I still believe the Sox win on experience alone.
