Another very sad Day in Baseball!

Mark Fidrych died Monday at the age of 54. The "BIRD" as he was called was a local (MA) kid who made good with the Tigers. Those of us who were privileged to see him during his 5 year MLB career remember him stalking around the mound; talking in his glove and making comments to the baseball. All these antics seemed to make the "kid" more comfortable on the bump.
Phillies Hall of Fame announcer Harry Kalas died at 1:20 p.m. today just before he was to do the Play by Play for today's Phillies game in Washington. Kalas is a very familiar voice of NFL Films and MLB Phillies over the years. A great talent and a very easy on the ears.

We baseball heads morn their loss today!
