Sox Cy Candidate a PERFECTO 6-0!

Josh Beckett 6-0 has matched The Rocket's 6-0 start of 1991!

Red Sox ACE - Josh Beckett is the leading candidate for Cy Young Award Honors in the American League. Beckett has a perfect 6-0 record after going 7 strong innings against Oakland at Old Ball Yard last night to win 6-4. Beckett's' numbers thus far are very impressive:

Record: 6-0; 39.2IP; 33H; 13R; 12E; 1HR; 9BB & 35K's.

An exciting side of this is that Beckett is surrounded by a solid staff of pitchers, who can make the Sox a top contender for AL East honors and bring them as odds on favorites to win their first American League Champiosnhip since 2004. We all know what happened that year!

Josh was much maligned last year as he had his UPnDOWNS. No roller coaster ride this Spring for the righty. Its been smooth sailing. He seems to have a strong ability to get out of jams and make things right.

A Theo-Deal that looks pretty good right now -- Josh and Mike Lowell have been a tremendous addition to the Sox. The Marlins loss was a gain for them, because Hanley Ramirez is tearing the cover off the ball in the NL thus far. The pain of the Hanley loss is eased by Beckett's performance thus far!

Always looking at the bright side - this reporter is seeing All Star Starter, Cy Young Honors and another World Series Ring for the 26 year old from Spring, TX.
